This Mid-Century Modern armchair was designed by American designer George Mulhauser, circa 1964, for a competition to furnish the TWA building at John F. Kennedy airport. While he didn't win, the chair went into a very limited production, manufactured by Plycraft Inc. This rare Mulhauser chair has a striking design featuring a graceful one-piece walnut bentwood back and armrest. The chrome legs and base provide the chair solid support with a cushioned seat newly upholstered in green checkered tweed.
