This handsome pair of Art Deco, cantilevered chrome "Springer" lounge chairs by Wolfgang Hoffmann for Howell is a great example of 1930s modernism and the era of designer chrome. The Springer chairs - named for the gentle bounce they produce - consist of a chromed flat bar frame that seamlessly forms to shape the legs, arms and back support of the streamlined seat. The arms are topped with ebonized walnut that follow the curvature of the chairs' design.
Newly upholstered leather, refinished armrests, chrome shows it's original patina.
