This circa 1940s carved oak craftsman sideboard / credenza is by Old Hickory Furniture Company of Martinsville Indiana established in 1899. The sideboard is solid oak with intricate foliate carvings on the top drawers with brass pulls. The bottom cabinets feature doors with sunken panels and large hand-carved ring pulls. It's a wonderfully handcrafted, mid-century, American-rustic credenza that is sure to be the centerpiece in any setting.
Old Hickory is best known for furnishing the State and National Park Lodges as well as large family resorts, themed restaurants as well as high-end homes, private clubs and hotels. Since 1899 Old Hickory Furniture has been handcrafted in Central Indiana using the remarkable hickory sapling and other natural and sustainable resources. Old Hickory furniture is still handcrafted and made-to-order in much the same way as it was in the 1890s.
Newly finished.
